Maximalism in Action

So I did it! Took my own advice and mixed like a Mad Man to create the perfect look for my Salon Opening!

How did I know this mix of fabrics and patterns was going to work??? I didn’t

I went shopping at Nordstrom Rack to find an outfit for the Arrow Studio opening soiree! Found this amazing tapestry dress from Free People, upon my internet search it’s sold out online :/

I knew I couldn’t wear it like the model, because I like my shoulders covered. I decided it was perfect and I could throw a sweater over it… I’m sure I have something at home… Right! Wrong, I thought about all the lonely strapless dresses in my closet that never see the light of day, then I heard Kyle’s voice in my head

always , shop in outfits

When you hang out with people who dress this well there is always some fashion pressure! So I decided to not leave the store without a matching, or perfectly mismatching shrug. I grabbed a few white sweaters, a denim jacket, and this floral top.

Some how it worked, but did it really? Well, it didn’t hurt my eyes! At this point I thought ok grab something else in the same feel, but different pattern… Wow no pic of this because it really hurt my eyes, and my fashion heart. That’s when I decided this works! I think it was a success!

Fashion Dynasty Note:
My clutch and shoes are neutral and match one another, this helps display my mix of patterns and also does not add another element of texture to have to match!
